So How Big is TEXAS?!

Texas is a big state! A man was in the shop a couple of weeks ago and he was amazed that he was still in Texas! Seems he had been driving for 14 hours and just knew that he should be in Colorado for sure!

There is the Texas, which he had started his drive, that is hot and humid and you can see the Gulf of Mexico. Then there is this part of Texas. Flat lands, wind, tumble weeds and all four seasons! We are 40 miles from New Mexico (as the crow flies) 10 miles from Oklahoma, 70 miles for Colorado and probably 100 miles or so from Dorothy's Land, Kansas!

Those dead things that start rolling in about a month or so are called tumble weeds! It is funny to us to watch tourists stop and collect them or take pictures of them.... they are weeds, they grow every year by volunteer. Then they die and start rolling in the wind. But please if you are traveling thru and want one, take several, PLEASE!
