Let me put a warning label on here, I have A Sick, Sick Sense of Humor!

Over the weekend we cooked burgers out on the grill. Slick called his mother and asked her to come over, which she seldom will, and, she said, no. Slick told her would bring her one then. She agreed.

He goes over and discovers her Air Condition is not working. She doesn't tell him how long it has been out or any details. It is HOT here like much of the rest of the country. Anyway, he comes back to the house and takes SIL over to see if they can get it fixed. [Called repair man first, out of town!] Slick and SIL get it fixed! YAY! (Monday repair man said probably a fried ant! Said those [I call them piss ants] like to get in electrical places... so take this tip beat on the electrical before you call for repairs).

Monday morning, phone rings at work....

Voice on the phone... "This is xxxxxx with the Adult Protective Services ..."

I know I gasped!

Voice on the phone.... "WE have had a complaint filed of abuse on an Adult...."

I think I peed my pants! My stomach rolled over and I am thinking 'Oh my Gosh, someone has filed a complaint against us over her Air Conditioner!'

Well it turns out that it wasn't but you can't imagine all of the things we have been accused of lately by the fam, that is all I am going to say about that.

Then voice goes on to explain the person or persons who filed the complaint gave a tag number and it came back that we had sold the vehicle. Voice on the phone is saying a strange model.... I am thinking "I would not sell one of those to my worst enemy!" After some research we determined the tag number was not reported correctly, cause I still had physical possession of that tag number, front and back plates! Any way I laughed about my warped imagination the entire rest of the week!

Just goes to show you how I should remain calm and not jump to hasty conclusions... my pants would stay dryer!
