well I was very nervous about VBS, because I know kids can smell fear and I was afraid, Very Afraid! I just knew they were going to eat me alive! Part of my fear was caused by the fact that I did not think anyone would be there to help me. But thankfully, some teenage girls came to my rescue early on and then later Margaret and Anne showed up to help. The first night went well and I am not so nervous about tonight.
I still have the feeling that VBS has run its season. I am so sad for that. Such happy memories for myself as well as my children and dreams that the grand kids would enjoy those same things. Time changes, it stands still for no one or nothing. For now I am praying that God will inspire us with a new idea to reach kids. If there is one thing that is needed for children now, it is Jesus Christ. Faith, Hope and Love are not prevalent in many young peoples lives today.
Corey and Bailey have announced they are pregnant! Yay! We are so happy. The little one should arrive in late January. They will be going to the doctor on Monday, June 29th.
One last thought, how will kids learn about God and serving Him if Mom and Dad don't take them to Church when they are young?
I am not on my saop box.. just thinking out loud.....
