Rustic in the Panhandle

The CWF at our church host Mother/Daughter Banquet each year. Each year we have a theme and a person or a group of people are responsible for a table. Some of themes have been, Colors, Hymns, Flowers, Holidays, etc. This year unfortunately is our last year for this event (worked our workers plum out!). The theme was "Rustic in the Panhandle." It was quite interesting and so very much fun... take a look

Saturday Night Bath! Complete with Towels, soaps, wash cloths, rubber duckies and of course the "Bath for 25cents, soap and towel extra" sign.

Isn't this cute? Washday Blues!
Everything is blue! Bubbles along with the wash tub and scrub board!

The Flower Patch. The items were all hand painted. There was even a sunflower cake on the table (sorry got the picture before the cake came).

Bound in a Quilt.
This table featured handmade quilt place mats on a beautiful old quilt.

Little Red School House
We even do a table for the little girls. This table featured chalkboards and globe pencil sharpeners on red, white and blue.

Supper at Grandma's
When this lady remembered going to Grandma's, she remembered mismatched dishes.
Was that ever the case at your Grandma's? It made for a delightful table scape.

Down Cowboy Way
Complete with Boots and Bandannas!

Vintage Elegance
Featuring antique brooches and a fabulous quilt!

Grandma's Lantern
This table featured an antique lantern that had actually been used at a wedding more than a decade ago.
  • Did I mention that all attendees were given favors from their table? We will miss this event next spring. But, I hope these tables bring inspiration to some table tonight! Enjoy!

Oh what great ideas for tables. Thanks for sharing them all. What a shame this event has to end.

What a fun event! I'm sorry it won't be next year, or will it? Sometimes a new chairperson steps up to host the event. Perhaps taking a year off will be all the break everyone needs. It looks like too much for it to be canceled permanently.
