I read in the paper that kids are now downloading and using 'mosquito tones' on their cell phones. They do this in order to use cell phones in the classroom and the teacher be completely unaware. Of course you know the first thing I did; tell my daughter the High School English teacher about the article!
We went online and played the tones. Since she is 30 she was able to hear all but the highest two tones. Me, well let's just say I am over 50 and during the 70's I was real close to the stage at a lot of rock concerts! In other words I only heard the first 3.
One interesting article we found is that it works both ways. It seems that a business in England did not want teenagers hanging out by their building, loitering as we say. So they broadcast the mosquito tones over a speaker system ridding themselves of the teenagers without effecting the adults customers!
During our testing, it never occurred to me that my precious little Captain (pure bred mutt) was on the back of the couch. The tones drove him crazy! He got very upset with Keely, as she was clearly the instigator in his books; his master would never do anything like that! It took Captain an hour or more to settle down after we shut it off. The site said to not test in the presence of babies, also!
So, all this talk, (and trust me, we talked and talked about it and was still talking about it yesterday!) got me to thinking about listening to God. With the children of Israel he used fire in the sky and clouds. Now we have the Holy Spirit to help us to hear. But sometimes we just flat don't listen. And by 'we' I mean Me!
I am going to shut up now and see if I hear anything!
Have a safe Holiday and thank God for all He has done and our Service Men and Women for defending us in places we don't like to think about.

that is so interesting. I am glad that I went to school before all this stuff was around to distract me!
